Cookie and Tracking Technologies Policy

Last Updated: 2026-04-08

1. Introduction

This Cookie and Tracking Technologies Policy explains how TriDev Tech EOOD uses cookies, software development kits (SDKs), device identifiers, and similar tracking technologies in Whisper. This policy supplements our Privacy Policy.

2. Technologies We Use

2.1 Cookies and Local Storage

When you access our App through a web browser or web view, we may use cookies and local storage technologies.

2.2 Mobile Identifiers

On mobile devices, we may collect:

  • Advertising identifiers (Apple IDFA on iOS, Google Advertising ID on Android)
  • Internal device identifiers (used for push notification delivery and crash reporting)
  • App install identifiers (generated on first install; not linked to hardware identity)

2.3 SDKs and Third-Party Technologies

The App integrates the following third-party SDKs that may collect data. Whisper is an 18+ platform; in the event that a user under 18 is identified on the platform, their account will be suspended in accordance with our Age Restriction and Child Safety Policy.

SDK/Technology Provider Purpose Data Collected
Sentry React Native SDK Sentry (functional.software GmbH) Crash reporting and error monitoring Device info, OS version, app version, stack traces, breadcrumbs, crash metadata; IP address inferred from connection
Google AdMob SDK Google LLC Advertising and ad delivery Advertising identifier (IDFA/GAID), device info, app usage signals, ad interaction data
Supabase Client SDK Supabase Inc. Authentication and database access Session tokens, authentication state; no independent tracking

3. Categories of Tracking Technologies

3.1 Strictly Necessary Technologies

These are essential for the App to function and cannot be disabled. They include technologies for:

  • User authentication and session management

  • Security and fraud prevention

  • Load balancing and technical delivery

  • Remembering your privacy preferences

3.2 Analytics and Performance Technologies

These help us understand how users interact with the App, identify errors, and improve performance. We collect crash and performance data through Sentry solely for technical diagnostics; this data is not used for marketing or profiling. Under the ePrivacy Directive, analytics technologies beyond strictly necessary operation require consent.

Google Analytics (GA4) is used on our website (whisper-app.net) to measure traffic, user behaviour, and conversion funnels. GA4 collects anonymised page view and interaction data. IP anonymisation is enabled. This data is used solely for improving our website and measuring marketing effectiveness; it is not used for profiling. Consent is required before GA4 is activated.

Firebase Analytics is used within the mobile application to measure user engagement, feature adoption, and conversion events. Firebase Analytics collects anonymised event data tied to a Firebase installation identifier. This data is used for product improvement and is not used for advertising targeting.

3.3 Functionality Technologies

These enable enhanced functionality and personalization, such as remembering your theme, language, and notification preferences. Functionality technologies strictly necessary for core service delivery do not require separate consent; those enabling optional personalization are subject to your consent preferences.

3.4 Advertising and Targeting Technologies

We use Google AdMob to serve advertisements. AdMob uses advertising identifiers and usage signals to deliver and measure ads. Consent is required before AdMob advertising identifiers are activated for personalized advertising.

Meta Pixel is used on our website to measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns on Meta platforms (Facebook, Instagram). The Meta Pixel collects page view and conversion event data when marketing consent is given. This data is shared with Meta for advertising optimisation and audience building. Consent is required before the Meta Pixel is activated.

Google Ads conversion tracking is used on our website to measure when visitors take actions after interacting with our Google advertising campaigns. Consent is required before Google Ads tracking is activated.

AppsFlyer is used within the mobile application to attribute app installs and in-app events to advertising campaigns. AppsFlyer collects device identifiers and campaign data to measure marketing effectiveness and return on advertising spend. AppsFlyer operates under its Data Processing Agreement and processes data in Israel (EU adequacy decision) and the United States (Standard Contractual Clauses).

4. Consent Mechanism

Before placing any non-essential tracking technologies, we obtain your consent through a clear consent interface presented when you first use the App. Whisper is an 18+ platform; in the event that a user under 18 is identified, their account will be suspended in accordance with our Age Restriction and Child Safety Policy.

You may manage your preferences at any time through:

Settings > Privacy & Ads

Device-Level Controls:

On iOS: Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking; on Android: Settings > Privacy > Ads. Enabling platform-level “Ask App Not to Track” or ad personalization opt‑outs will be honored in the App.

5. Managing Cookies in Web Views

If you access App content through a browser, you can manage cookies through browser settings. Note that disabling cookies may affect functionality.
